It sounds so official, doesn’t it? Home Command Center. Like MTAC in NCIS or something. But it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while and we definitely need it.
For us, it’s the place where all our mail goes in and out, papers sit waiting to be filed, checks that need to be deposited, fliers for events, and calendar all go there. If you’re looking for a stapler, hole punch, USB cable, camera, or writing utensil it’s there too. Here’s what it really should be called: The Place Where We Put Stuff We Don’t Want to Get Lost.
But that wouldn’t be so efficient, now would it?

Nice job!! I like the hanging wall. What exactly do you have on there??
Umm…let’s see. A calendar, a tin can with pens/pencils, I want to hang another one for tape, a stapler and such, and underneath that there’s a hanging file holder. On the other side it’s a decorative shelf with a mail sorter. The mail’s there just not sorted yet.
