In January Nancy Leigh DeMoss (radio host and author of Lies Women Believe) had Dennis and Barbara Rainey on her show sharing about their marriage ministry with Family Life. I just got around to listening to those sessions this week and was really blessed by them. Here’s one quote from Dennis Rainey that I found quite powerful and pointed,
When a couple begins to understand that there is more at stake in their marriage than just getting their own needs met, but that God’s character is on the line, His reputation is at stake in your marriage, and that He’s got a noble calling that has generational impact; all of a sudden marriage becomes much broader, bigger than just two individual people.
Brayden & Talitha Waller Betrothal and Wedding – I’m not even quite sure how I found this, perhaps a clicking from link to link between blogs), but I found the videos of this couple’s betrothal ceremony (yes, I did say betrothal and ceremony) beautiful. With their wedding they followed the biblical model of the bride waiting for the bridegroom. So sweet.
And not just sweet, but a wonderful picture of how we should be waiting for Jesus and the joy that should fill us. Just seeing the joy and pleasure on their faces was so beautiful.
