In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
John 1:4
When Jesus gives us life it’s not just a saving from hell, but a spiritual awakening…
a realization that who we once were is no more and who we truly are is coming to be,
and yet, He sees us already as we truly are.
Cleansed. Sanctified.
Without spot. Without blemish.
Holy. Blameless.

Deep questions… I wish I had an answer to share, but my blood sugar must be too low to think.
However, I will be thinking about it and come back to share when I have an answer… hmmm… “How are you living as you truly are? What does mean to you that ‘the life was the light of men’?”
I’m still not quite sure what ‘the life was the light of men’ means. Maybe it’s simpler than I’m making it. I think Jesus is (obviously) the life…but as the life of men. I guess for me it means that Jesus should illuminate my life…he should so permeate through me that He is what people see. The light and the life.
Found you via Muthering Heights! Nice to meet you!
How wonderful that He sees us purely glorified…the hard part is the process. The living now…in a sinful world with my sinful desires.
It is so hard! Thank God that He is doing a good work in us and that it will come to completion one day!
