30 Before 30

I will turn 30 on Friday, August 30, 2013.

My goal is to complete this list within the next 3 years and 8 months. My 30 Before 30 list is a mix of challenges, some might only take an hour or so while others months of training. It’s a list of things I’ve been wanting to do for awhile and just haven’t gotten around to it.

This is my getting around to it…chronicling it as I go.

30 Before 30

  1. Finish a novel

  2. Make my own healthy recipes (for the sweet tooth)

  3. Finish a screenplay

  4. Visit New York City

  5. Dye my hair

  6. Relearn Spanish

  7. Run a half-marathon

  8. NAMC Preschool/Kindergarten diploma

  9. Grow a vegetable garden (we did it…but it kinda failed in the end)

  10. Learn to ride a horse

  11. Make my own pasta and pasta sauce

  12. Complete Marine Corps Mud Run

  13. Have another baby

  14. Pull an all-nighter

  15. Learn to dance

  16. See Josh Groban in concert

  17. Complete a mini-triathlon

  18. Write everyday for 30 days

  19. Watch AFI’s Top 100 movies

  20. Plan the Perfect Wardrobe (seasonal & coordinated)…coupled with finding my signature style (right now, I think it’s a bit American Classic & a whole lot of boring…)

  21. Get to my ideal weight, which-supposedly-is anywhere between 114 – 145lb. I’m about 15lb. from that.

  22. Read the Bible chronologically

  23. Have an organized and simplified home

  24. Live stress-free…or at least have come a long way

  25. On my way to becoming an expert in something….(it only takes 10,000 hours or 10 years)

  26. Write a will

  27. Go to the biggest yard sale in the US

  28. Get to Europe…can we say Jane Austen?

  29. Be confident in myself.

  30.

What’s on your list? And, do you have any suggestions for my 30th item?

For #1, I recommend clearing your calendar in November 2010 (or 2011 or 2012) and buckling down to participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) to get that novel done! http://www.nanowrimo.org

Then for #3, clear out time in April for Script Frenzy (by the makers of NaNoWriMo): http://www.scriptfrenzy.org.

Good luck to you!
