30 Before 30

*I’d like to make an amendment. Jenny pointed out to me that I do not have 4 1/2 years to do this, but 3 years and 9 months. Not only am I getting older, but apparently my math skills have already gone out the window.

Apparently if you’ve yet to reach 30 this list is a must do. I had never heard about it until my friend April wrote about it. It seems like a good idea. A good way to put on paper some of those things that I want to do, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I have 3 years and 9 months 4 1/2 years before I’m 30…that seems a reasonable amount of time for my list. I’m a little shy to share this, because some of the goals are not known beyond my immediate family. So a bit nervous to expose myself to others.

But we’re being real, right?

Just don’t laugh…please.

30 Before 30

  1. Finish a novel

  2. Make my own healthy recipes (for the sweet tooth)

  3. Finish a screenplay

  4. Visit New York City

  5. Dye my hair

  6. Relearn Spanish

  7. Run a half-marathon

  8. NAMC Preschool/Kindergarten diploma

  9. Grow a vegetable garden

  10. Learn to ride a horse

  11. Make my own pasta and pasta sauce

  12. Complete Marine Corps Mud Run

  13. Have another baby

  14. Pull an all-nighter

  15. Learn to dance

  16. See Josh Groban in concert

  17. Complete a mini-triathlon

  18. Write everyday for 30 days

  19. Watch AFI’s Top 100 movies

  20. Plan the Perfect Wardrobe (seasonal & coordinated)…coupled with finding my signature style (right now, I think it’s a bit American Classic & a whole lot of boring…)

  21. Get to my ideal weight, which-supposedly-is anywhere between 114 – 145lb. I’m about 15lb. from that.

  22. Read the Bible chronologically

  23. Have an organized and simplified home

  24. Live stress-free…or at least have come a long way

  25. On my way to becoming an expert in something….(it only takes 10,000 hours or 10 years)

  26. Write a will

  27. Go to the biggest yard sale in the US

  28. Get to Europe…can we say Jane Austen?

  29. Be confident in myself.

What’s on your list? And, do you have any suggestions for my 30th item?

By the way, if you’ve already pasted 30 there’s still 40 before 40 or 50 before 50…or even 100 before 100. There’s something for everyone!
