This is a completely random post, but every once and awhile I get to thinking about what my favorite “all-American” songs are. Why? I have no idea. I just do.
So humor me.
I’m sure our tastes are different and it’s very likely that I’ll leave off some super-obvious song, but….life goes on.
So…here are my favorite top ten All-American Songs:
- What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
- It Don’t Mean a Thing – Duke Ellington
- Sing, Sing, Sing - Benny Goodman
- Under the Bridge – Red Hot Chili Peppers
- American Pie – Don McClean
- Don’t Stop Believing – the Glee verison (yes…I’m a gleek! But Journey’s good too!)
- Walking in Memphis – Marc Cohen
8. Rapper’s Delight – The Sugar Hill Gang
9. Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
10. Piano Man – Billy Joel
